“ Zoe, did you just talk back to me? Did I hear you right? ” a young man in his twenties uttered.

     From his features, one could see that he's every lady's dream. Muscles and abs revealed themselves from his white t-shirt.

     “ I'm sorry…. sorry ” the lady in front of him stuttered.

    Her head lowered.

“ Is it a crime to ask for a common two hundred dollars from you? if you don't have, you could have told me but you shouted at me! Zoe, how dare you! '' the man yelled angrily.

     “ I'm really sorry ... .I don't know what got over me ” Zoe replied, her body was shaking.

      “ It's okay, just get me a hundred dollars and we'll forget about everything, ” the man said.

     “ I don't have anything with me Zach, I've spent everything I had on you ” Zoe replied.

     “ So what should we do? my sister needs to buy that limited edition bag ” Zach said.

   “ I thought your sister had a rich boyfriend, can't he buy her the limited edition bag? Why must it be me? ” Zoe asked in a low voice.

      “ You're her sister-in-law, you have the right to spoil her, ” Zach replied.

    “ But I don't have a dime with me Zach! ” Zoe yelled.

    Zach scoffed, “ you did it again, you just yelled at me ” 

      “ Go back to your family and beg them, okay? tell them you're sorry ” Zach said.

    Zoe looked at him without uttering a word, she couldn't bring herself to defile Zach's order.

     She grew up in a family where no one loved her, to her family; she's just a child that doesn't even exist.

      However, her younger sister is the star of the house. She's the little princess that everyone favored.

      Her family were billionaires, they've been rich for centuries and would only get richer.

      There was one day that she almost died, all because of the mistake her younger sister made.

     Zach got her out of it, he saved her from being belittled. 

    Since she was so desperate for a helping hand before, she gladly accepted Zach's kindness and fell in love with him.

    Zach also loved her and they got married. Since then, she has always been bullied by Zach's family but she doesn't care at all.

    All she needed was Zach's love and understanding. She had spent everything she had on Zach since Zach wasn't working anyway.

     “ I'll find a way to get it Zach, don't get angry with me ” she snuggled up to him.

     With a slight smile, Zach pulled her into his warm embrace.

After a while, Zoe was cleaning the kitchen when her sister-in-law walked in. The same sister that wanted the limited edition bag.

     “ What's for dinner? “ she asked.

“ Beef and pork soup, ” Zoe replied.

     “ Yuck! Have you forgotten that I'm on a diet? my boyfriend can't see a pinch of fat in me ” she said, irritation filled her face.

     “ What do you want me to do then? ” Zoe asked.

     ” Let's have a cheese burger with the appropriate nutrients and some milk juice, ” she replied.

     “ Biance, where do you want me to get that? ” Zoe asked.

     “ Buy it, why do we have McDonald's? isn't it to buy food? '' Biance narrowed her gaze, resting her hand on the kitchen counter.

      “ I don't have money with me, I'm still saving for the limited edition bag you wanted ” Zoe replied.

     “ And when did I ask you for a limited edition bag when my boyfriend can get it for me? Why would I even come to you? you of all people ? ” Biance scanned her from up to toe disgustingly.

     Zoe's brow creased, ‘ didn't Zach say she wanted a limited edition bag? ’ she thought.

      “ Get the burger ready before dinner, I'm not eating some stupid beef and pork soup ” Biance hissed and walked out.

     Zoe breathed out, ‘ did Zach lie to her? but why would he? he would never do something like that ’.

     “ Where would I get that motherfucking money? ” she sighed.

    Zoe walked into the room.

She saw Zach laid down casually on the bed, playing an old video game.

     She sighed and walked toward him.

Seated at the edge of the bed, she looked at him.

     “ Zach? ” she called.

“ what? can't you see that I'm busy? ” he growled.

    “ Can you lend me some money for now, I'll return it to you later ” she said.

       “ If I have money with me, do you think I'll ask you to buy my sister a limited edition bag? ” he sneered.

     “ About that, your sister said she didn't tell you to buy her a limited edition bag, ” Zoe said.

     Zach abruptly stopped the videogame, he looked at her.

        “ You asked her about it? ” he asked.

“ No I…didn't..”

     “ Oh Zoe, you're getting quite bold now, ain't you? did I tell you to ask her? ” he said.

    “ Listen to…me…”

“ You must be seeking a divorce paper, you must need it so badly. ” he continued, not giving her a chance to talk.

     “ Will you just listen to me?! ” she yelled.

     “ You are cheating one right? you've never raised your voice at me but you're doing it repeatedly today, you wanted to divorce me. After everything I've done for you! ” Zach yelled at her.

      She flinched.

“ I'm not….you're….. getting..I..I…” Zoe continued to stammer.

     “ Get out of my room, don't come back to this room again, get the hell out ” Zach said.

    “ Listen to me, ” Zoe pleaded.

 “ No wonder you're acting strange lately, you've been seeing another man behind my back, you've forgotten all what I've done for you ” Zach said.

     “ And what exactly have you done for me?! ” Zoe screamed, making Zach fall silent.

   “ You always talked like you've bought me the whole world when you actually did nothing! ” she yelled at the top of her voice.

     “ I'm sorry but I start to think that you're just using me ” she lowered her voice.

    “ Do you even love me? ” she asked.

Her eyes locked with Zach's.

      Zach slept back on the bed as an awkward silence filled the whole room.

     The temperature seemed to have dropped a few degrees.

      “ Answer me, do you even love me? ” she asked again.
