Quinn POV

Slap!

I slaps Ellie on the face and sneers, "I said, if you can leave the pack and never appear in front of me again, I can forget about it and let you go. Now think again and think carefully this time before you tell me your answer. This is your last chance."

"Cry for yourself! You're a pathetic useless luna who can't even produce an alpha heir. You can't fulfill luna's duty and don't deserve to occupy this position." Ellie rubs her hand over her stomach as she continues to taunt me, "I won't leave the pack because I will be the one who can capture Matthew's heart, and who can bear a future alpha. And you? I can consider keeping you here as my maid if you beg me."

I scoff at her words and considers if she deserves another slap in the face. Heir? Future alpha? I'd be the alpha herself if I still has her wolf for I was the rightful heir and Matthew only became the alpha because he's my mate. There's absolutely zero alpha blood in Matthew's body.

But before I can say anything again, Ellie's face suddenly changes as she notices something. Her tone and demeanor shifts in an instant.

With tears glistening in her eyes, Ellie weeps and whispers in a soft voice, making herself look so pitiful, "I really love him, I'm sorry, I'd give my all for him, I really do. Please, please don't hate Matthew...I beg you..."

Then I notice a familiar figure running towards her in a hurry. Oh, that explains her changes: Matthew is here.

His face is filled with concern and worry. He must have felt so touched when hearing Ellie confessing how much she loved him. I can see that from the expression on his face. Stupid Matthew, I bet the idea of Ellie having always been pretending in front of him has never flashed in his rusty brain.

Immediately, almost at the fastest speed he could ever achieve, he takes Ellie in his arms and glares at me:

"Don't touch her! She's pregnant!"

Pregnant?

It seems I missed out on a lot of interesting things.

I roll my eyes, "Come on, she's pretending. Don't tell me your blind eyes can't even see it."

"Watch your language, Luna!" Apparently, neither does he think Ellie is pretending nor does he think he's blind. What's more, he keeps picking on my language and still tries to let me maintain my Luna image, even in front of his cheating.

"I'm so sorry, Luna Quinn. I... I will have an abortion, I promise! I don't mean to break up you loving couple, it was all my fault. I shouldn't have fell in love with him." Ellie buries her face in Matthew's chest and raises her eyes looking at me, sobbing with tears on her face, "I will have an abortion right away and I will take all punishments alone. Please don't be mad at Matthew, please don't blame Matthew for it. It was all my fault!"

"Ellie... No! Don't say that! It was not your fault! Our baby isn't a mistake, it's a symbol of our love and the future heir of our pack!" Matthew tightens his arms and kisses away the tears on her face.

"What a lovely scene and what a sweet family. I even feel sorry to remind you that I am your wife, and that you are cheating on your wife." I look at Matthew and sigh Their lovey dovey scene really hurts my eyes, I can't help but cut into their whispers of love.

Then I turn to Ellie: "But if you really mean what you say, then let's have an abortion right away. I'll drive you to the hospital and pay for the bills, I'll find you the best doctor and buy you the most expensive medicines. What do you say?" I stare at Ellie and study her expression. I have know Ellie for years, I know she wouldn't agree to have an abortion. She's just acting in front of Matthew. Somehow, I really want to break her disguise in front of Matthew and in front of myself - I guess I still felt sad deep inside, I just had to pretend to be tough and calm.

"Quinn!"Matthew releases Ellie and grips my shoulder tight, so tight that my shoulder hurts a lot, "How dare you! How dare you hurt Ellie and kill my heir!"

Seeing his eyes burning with anger, I felt everything was so absurd that I didn't know what to say at the moment. Matthew, what a ignorant and stupid guy. I couldn't believe my mate was such a jerk, and I even married him and made him the Alpha!

For a moment, I really want to go back to my young self and smack myself up, telling the young and innocent me not to marry Matthew.

Not to marry this guy who would cheat on me, who started to take over my power in the pack, who started giving me cold shoulders after knowing I couldn't bear a werewolf child, who thought I was just a problem and a barrier for him to get his true love and his success

If my father hadn't died and if I still have my wolf power, everything would be different and all this shit wouldn't happen to me... I can't help but think.

"It seems you agree with the proposal since you didn't make any objections. Let's go then, miss Ellie, to the hospital." Driving the chaotic thoughts out of my mind and Ignoring Matthew, I grab Ellie's arm, wanting to take her to the parking lot to my car. Ellie, how would you continue the act now?

Matthew POV.

I'm so disappointed at Quinn.

I know I shouldn't have had an affair with Ellie, but it's not my fault. It is because Quinn couldn't bear my child, and she doesn't feel sorry about it at all as if she never want to bear our child! She left me no choice.

And now, she even wants to kill my baby without asking my opinion!

Seeing Quinn taking Ellie away, I shout at her while trying to grab her arm, "Quinn, I couldn't believe how you have become so ruthless and cold blooded! You were once a sweet and innocent girl, and I loved you that way. Now look at you! So mean and so viscious!" I felt a slight

She shakes off my hand as if she's getting rid of a piece of filth, "Don't touch me, ever. And I won't harm your sweetheart."

Her cold words sting in my heart. Where did the innocent and kind-hearted Quinn go? I can't help but think of the days when we were still in love and she was still lovable and nice. Now that I think about it, ever since she lost her wolf and found out to be infertile, she's become more and more eccentric, and that's why I determined that she's not suitable to lead the pack now and decided to work with Ellie. I know I might still love Quinn, but now Ellie is the one whom I want our Luna to be.

"Ahhh--!"

Suddenly, A sharp scream enters my ear and interrupts my memories.

It's Ellie's voice!

I rush to the direction where Quinn took Ellie to. I knew I shouldn't have listened to Quinn! That liar! She must've planned to hurt Ellie at the very beginning and she lied to me saying she wouldn't harm her without even blinking her eye!

When I rush to the source of the scream, I see a stairway of a few meters high, where Quinn was standing on the top, and Ellie was lying at the bottom, covering her belly in pain. There's blood slowly oozing from Ellie's dress.

I felt all my blood rushing to my head, and my eyes widened with anger as I shouted at Quinn:

“What, have, you, done, to, Ellie!?”
